Hi!
I would like to share my experience about grammar in English.
Many
people think that grammar in English is not important, grammar is somewhat
complicated and as the level of English increases, it becomes more complicated,
in my experience it is the most difficult course but I also understand that
good writing helps to improve this language, and of course if we do not know
grammar how we could speak this language or how to know what we are saying? We
need to know grammatical structures to form a sentence and make sense of our
English, throughout these courses I have learned to use different structures
and that makes me feel good because when I did not know anything about grammar
I felt lost, I did not know how to form a prayer or what was saying.
Grammar
is a practical course, and without a doubt if it is not kept in constant
practice it is very difficult to understand it, for the moment I can say that
the structures that we are seeing in this course do not look so complicated but
for me it has its difficulty, for example on the subject of basic morpho
classification and derivational are topics in which we need to learn to
classify different parts of a sentence with its respective representative
element and memorize a list of suffixes. This topic in comparison to the types
of phrases in syntactical function is a bit easier to understand, in syntactical
function I feel that it is a difficult topic and we must be careful because in
a single sentence there can be several types of phrases. The topic of
parallelism I like because we can shorten the sentences by removing some words
that are not necessary in their context using the correlative conjunctions.
Thanks,
this is a little bit of what I'm learning in grammar Vl.
